Day 5: June 23: Tuesday:
Breakfast will be in the hotel before departing for the Royal Gorge. The Royal Gorge is a canyon on the Arkansas River near Cañon City, Colorado. With a width of 50 feet at its base and a few hundred feet at its top, and a depth of 1,250 feet in places, the 10-mile-long canyon is a narrow, steep gorge through the granite of Fremont Peak.  We are  going to take a train ride thru the canyon.  The Royal Gorge Route its reputation as one of the premier passenger excursion trains in the country.   Lunch will also be served on the train.  A visit to the Royal Gorge Region isn't complete without stopping and "doing time" in this historical cell house that was the original Women's Correctional Facility constructed in 1935.  We have a fun night planned for you tonight at the Flying W Ranch and Chuckwagon Dinner.  Have fun touring the “real” western town before we are treated to some good “down home” cooking, followed by an evening of cowboy songs and music.     BLD

Day 6 & 7: June 24 & 25: Wednesday & Thursday:
Breakfast at our hotel before departing for Cripple Creek, CO.  First we are going to take a trip to the Air Force Chapel today.  This is a self guided tour just a short walk from the gift shop. In 1890 gold was discovered and Cripple Creek changed forever.
