If you are planning a Ladies Weekend there are two important key factors.....Shopping and Food!
We have both of those key factors entwined in our trip to Milwaukee and parts beyond. You will really want to “hop” on our Northern Bound Bunnies tour so you won’t miss out on either factor. We start you off with a light breakfast on board on our deluxe motorcoach. We top that off with a stop at Fiddlehead’s Coffee Roasting facility in Thiensville, Wisconsin. Here we will take a tour of their roasting facility and learn about our friend Mr. Coffee. We will also be having lunch at this facility at their new café that just opened recently. You will be able to purchase some coffee to bring home with you to enjoy.
Our next stop will be at Cedarburg, Wisconsin which is a quaint little town with LOTS and LOTS of unique shops and boutiques. You will be on your own for a few hours to duck in and out of all that Cedarburg has to offer.
We load up the motorcoach and head to the Third Ward for more shopping and FOOD. We will give you more time to shop the unique shops and boutiques that the Third Ward and the Milwaukee Market have to offer. When the sun starts to set we will head inside the Market for a cooking class. Upon the graduation from our cooking class we will be treated to a dinner at the Market!
We then are finally able to retire to our hotel, Ramada Inn in Milwaukee for a good night’s sleep. If you aren’t ready to hit the hay there is a complimentary shuttle to Potawatami Casino within minutes of our hotel.
You will awake to the smells of a complimentary hot breakfast buffet. This is the closest to breakfast in bed that we could do for you Bunnies. If breakfast isn’t enough our first stop today is at Larsen’s Bakery where we will be treated to a short demonstration and history on the Kringle. This is a Milwaukee staple and you will be able to purchase a Kringle or two of your choice for a discounted price.
Our lunch today will be at a one of a kind family own Café and Farmer’s Market. The Borzynski Family will be our hosts as we have a lunch on their porch and then......more shopping at their produce, floral and gift shop. We are even going to let you stop in at the Carmel Apple Barn where you will be able to make your own carmel apple.
This next stop is a familiar one if you went with us a couple years ago, Fred Hermes’ Basement Bijou. This is a once in a lifetime experience where we will be Fred’s guests in his basement for a concert on his 2500 pipe Wurlitzer organ from 1926. Fred has spent 46 years restoring this unique artifact and you will be amazed by the spirit and energy this 90 year old has!
Our last stop before heading home will be a ride on the East Troy Electric Railroad. You will be given an approximate 20 minute train ride thru the beautiful Wisconsin countryside to our next destination, Mukwanago, Wisconsin. You ask what is at Mukwanago, the Elegant Farmer of course. This quaint little market is known for their apple pies in a bag! You will be able to shop around make some purchases at the Market before the train whistle blows to return to East Troy. Upon arrival at the return to the train station you will be able to reward yourself with some ice cream at the old fashion ice cream parlor located at the depot.
This is the time when we gather all of our “bunnies” and head home. We will kick off our shoes, put our feet up and enjoy a snack and a “chick flick” for our return to home sweet home. If you have been a lucky recipient of our past girls weekend you know that they are just a great way to reconnect with your sisters, daughters, nieces, granddaughters, friends, mothers, aunts, neighbors, and co-workers. So make sure you grab a group and give us a call because seats do go fast on this trip.......don’t be the bunny that doesn’t get to go! You know from past experience Marsha always has a trick or two up her sleeve and she won’t disappoint you! Come along it will give you something to smile about for days afterwards.........
