Day 1
Sunday, Aug. 17
Traveling from Illinois to DuBois, PA will give us some beautiful scenery of the Appalachian Mountains. We will be staying at the Hampton Inn. (B)
Day 2, 3, 4
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday Aug. 18 - 20
We arrive in Atlantic City later this afternoon at Bally’s Resort and Casino located right on the “Boardwalk” of Atlantic City!! We will be staying for 3 nights. Atlantic City has become the “little Las Vegas” of the East Coast with their 12 casinos. Whether you're looking for some time at a low-stakes slot machine, play some high-powered poker, or anything in between, Atlantic City gambling halls have what you want. Atlantic City casinos offer slots, poker, blackjack, roulette, craps, baccarat, keno, race books and specialty table games provide non-stop action along the Boardwalk. Walk along the Boardwalk and enjoy the smells and tastes of Salt Water Taffy, Ice Cream, Hot Dogs and all the great treats. Today, it is 4.12 miles long and 60 feet wide, reinforced with steel and concrete. The combined length of the Atlantic City and Ventnor Boardwalks is approximately 5.75 miles long. It is now the world's longest boardwalk. (3 B)
Day 5
Thursday, Aug. 21
Following breakfast in our hotel, we will travel to Hershey, PA and visit the Hershey Chocolate World for samples of the good candy and factory tour. We will also take the trolley tour of Hershey and hear how the town was founded. Youngstown, OH will be our last night on the road at the Hampton Inn. (B)
Day 6
Friday, Aug. 22
Time will go fast as we travel through Ohio, Indiana and Illinois. We should arrive back in Peru in the late afternoon. (B)
