Day 1
Wednesday, Nov. 5
Today is our travel day as we journey to Branson for the 2008 Season of Christmas Shows. We will arrive just time to go to the early dinner and show at Dolly Parton’s Dixie Stampede. We will check into our hotel, the Grand Oaks Lodge, right in the heart of all the action on Hwy 76. This will be our home away from home for the next 3 nights. (D)
Day 2
Thursday, Nov. 6
Breakfast will be at our hotel and then on to the Doug Gabriel Show. This is a show filled with song, fun and laughter from the “little man with the big voice”, and has been voted “Male Vocalist of the Year” for 7 years. Lunch will be at the American Bandstand Grill followed by an exciting afternoon at the American Bandstand Theater. Sit back and enjoy a cruise through the 50’s and 60’s filled with laughter, memories and solid gold Rock-N-Roll. We will also get to see the largest and finest collection of exquisite 1957 automobiles and memorabilia set in nostalgic “Hometown America” complete with a drive-in movie, fire station, service station, barbershop, Cadillac dealership and more. After dinner at the Lonestar Steak House, we will enjoy the “Spirit of Christmas Show” with special guest star “Jimmy Osmond”. The Spirit of Christmas comes alive in this high energy production, featuring your favorite Christmas songs, dazzling costumes and scenery, high stepping kick lines, with amazing singers and dancers. The charming and multi-talented Jimmy Osmond and the Osmond Brothers take center stage throughout the show and captures the audience with his unique charisma and musical talents.(B,L,D)
Day 3
Friday, Nov. 7
We’ll get our day started right this morning with an eye-open’n, hand-clap’n country music variety show with two-time CMA instrumentalist of the year, Buck Trent and his All Star Cast. Lunch will follow Buck’s show before heading to the Tri-Lakes Theatre to see the Daniel O’Donnell Show. . Daniel O’Donnell is one of the hottest tickets in Branson and we got him!! Join us for an afternoon with Daniel as he sings traditional Irish ballads, country favorites and traditional gospel. Eat you dessert first!! That is the rules at McFarlians restaurants. The “Traffic Jam” Pie is wonderful, and so is the rest of your meal. Next Stop!!...The Presleys’ Country Jubilee! Four generations on stage with non-stop entertainment featuring country favorites, southern Gospel and hilarious comedy. (B,L,D)
Day 4
Saturday, Nov. 8
This is a travel day as we head back north to Illinois but the fun isn’t over yet as we continue our fun aboard the coach. We are also going to make a stop in Lebanon, MO at the Russell Stover Candy Factory outlet store, a good time to stock up on those “sweet” Christmas gifts. Remembering the good times we had and the new friends we have met…the perfect way to spend the Christmas season. Arriving back to our cars in the early evening. (B) .
