Hey, Marsha got her act together and Ladies Getaway is back on! We all took a break in 2010 and we need to get back on the bus! This trip will not disappoint if you have been one of the lucky ones to have joined us in the past you know what a great time it is!

We depart from local locations and we will be heading south to Alton and St. Charles down near the St. Louis area. We will have some beverages and rolls for you on the coach and of course please feel free to bring your own libations with you! Our first stop is, My Just Desserts for an included lunch complete with assortment of home made desserts.

Our next adventure will be to be the guests of Mississippi Mud Pottery and Alton Stained Glass with demonstrations held at both locations. Of course there are gift shops at both locations if you would like to purchase some of their products. Once we have completed the “educational” part of our tour we turn you loose for......SHOPPING! Alton has a shopping district that is known for their antiques (not us), small boutiques and tea rooms. We will give you a few hours to check out the shops and then we head over to our hotel in St. Charles.

Our lodging will be The Country Inn & Suites in St. Charles, MO. We will have time to rest up, splash up, gas up and get ready for our group dinner. Our dinner this evening will be at The Mother In Law Restaurant just a few blocks away. Dinner is included along with cash bar topped off with home made warm peach cobbler with vanilla ice cream.

Now, let the fun begin....the entertainment part of the trip. We will have a show performed for us at the restaurant by none other than the St. Louis Steppers. Please read correctly I said STEPPER not STRIPPER! This is a group of ladies ranging from the ages of 55-80 that tap dance! Once you have tap danced all of your peach cobbler away from your hips we will take you back to the hotel. The rest of the evening is yours to sit by the bar for a night cap, jump in your suit for the pool or hop in a shuttle to Ameristar Casino which is just a few blocks away.

We wake up Sunday morning and breakfast will be served from 7:00-9:00 a.m. We depart the hotel to return to Alton for a step on guide tour of the local area. This area is very rich in history, not to say also HAUNTED, we will take you down Millionaire Row to view the historic homes, show you some of the highlights of the underground railroad and other favorite local attractions.

Once our tour has concluded we will head back over to St. Charles just in time for the shops to open in the historic shopping area. We will give you ladies enough time to ravage all of the unique boutiques, antiques and don’t forget to squeeze a lunch in there somewhere. Once we have put your packages securely underneath, taken off your shoes and rested your swollen ankles we will have a snack and a chick flick for the way home. One more comfort stop and then it is home sweet home!

This unfortunately as all good things come to an end and we will be depositing our “Ms. Daisies” to their pick up locations. I hope as you exit the coach and grab all of your shopping bags your sides will still be sore from laughing so much (not from the sit ups we will all have to do after the desserts)

Call of your girlfriends this will be the trip of 2011 and seats will be going fast. If you are a repeat offender as we affectionately call each one of us or a first timer we would love to have you!

Call today 815-224-9276 to reserve your seat. Be there or be square!!!
