This morning we will board one of the Shepler’s hydroplane boats that will deliver us to Mackinac Island in just 18 minutes. This is a quaint island where no motorized vehicles are allowed! We will enjoy a horse drawn carriage taxi that will deliver us to the Grand Hotel, our home away from home for the next two nights!!! You will have 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches and dinners at the Grand Hotel. The dinners are a step back in time where the ladies will dress in their finest and the gentlemen are asked to wear a coat and tie after 6. You will be treated to a horse drawn carriage tour of the island along with your taxi ride to and from the hotel. Spend your days sitting on the “big” front porch in a rockin’ chair or walk the short distance to the downtown area for fudge samples in the fudge shops…it’s your choice!!!!! Step back in time….enjoy the magic of Mackinac Island!!     2B2L2D
Day 4

The long deep lakes and roller-coaster hills that give Traverse City its splendid natural setting, were carved long ago by ancient glaciers. The Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore is a breathtaking combination of water, sky and towering sand dunes on Lake Michigan’s shoreline. Every summer visitor’s flock to Traverse City for their annual Cherry Festival held in August but we will still be able to taste cherry pies, jams sauces, juices and candies. Grand Traverse Resort & Spa is located near Traverse City, Mich. along the sandy shores of Lake Michigan's Grand Traverse Bay and is known as the area's top golf resort and spa getaway. Pamper yourself with a stroll along the shore, or relax in the spa, enjoy the beach or pool along with a whirlpool. If you’re up for some action!!
